Angel Olsen has announced details of a Johnny Jewel remix of the title track from her acclaimed 2019 release, All Mirrors
Jewel – a multi instrumentalist, producer, composer, and member of Chromatics, Glass Candy, Desire, and Symmetry – transforms the theatrical All Mirrors into a dance-driven pop number.
Speaking of the track Olsen says:
“I’ve been listening to Chromatics for years but I never thought I’d get the chance to meet them or work with Johnny, it’s always interesting to me what other people hear in something, how one slight movement can change a song completely.
I love how he took my vocal lead melody and followed it, making a completely different route for ‘All Mirrors’ as a wonder-dream dance song.”
Olsen also joined the recent slew of artists participating in live streaming, performing from her own home this past weekend in a ticketed event which saw proceeds going to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Effort.
Olsen‘s show at Liverpool’s Invisible Wind Factory, which is co-presented by local promontory, Harvest Sun and EVOL remains scheduled for Tuesday, September 1.
