HRH Psych reveal Electric Moon, Helicon, Cosmic Dead and Part Chimp as part of two-day Liverpool festival

More than 40 psychedelic bands will play Liverpool’s Arts Club, Getintothis’ Siân Ellis on the debut festival from HRH Psych.

HRH Psych have announced a 40 band festival for Liverpool’s The Arts Club in April 2021.

The event, which will take place April 17-18 next year,takes in music from the psych-rock spectrum, combining some stoner, acid, fuzz and experimental sounds to create a unique musical sensation.

The two day ‘trip’ will take place across three stages – The Psych Stage, The Stoner Stage & The Garage, and Experimental & New Psych Sounds Stage.

Over 40 bands are already confirmed for the event, allowing attendees to witness some amazing sounds and experimental journeys that will take any music lover out of their comfort zone.

Saturday’s headliner is German three-piece Electric Moon, known throughout the European acid rock scene for their mix of progressive and space rock.

Band members Komet, Sula and Pablo pride themselves on creating a unique symbiosis between each other – their latest release Beacon Light Hereafter is 21 minutes of thrilling heavy psych which emphasises their reputation as leaders in their tripped-out community.

Sunday’s headliner will be Øresund Space Collective, a band from Denmark and Sweden specialising in wild jams with little preconstructed rhythms.

The Cosmic Dead

They base their aesthetic on purely improvised sets of space rock inspiration, taking influence from the likes of Hawkwind, Ozric Tentacles and Gong.

Their appearance at HRH Psychic will be the the second time that Øresund Space Collective have played in the UK over their 15 years together as a band.

Also on the bill are heavy-weights Part ChimpHelicon, Mugstar, The Cult of Dom Keller and The Cosmic Dead ensuring a thrilling two-day adventure into noise.

In addition to the live performances taking place at HRH Psych, their will be specially commissioned artwork available on the day by Brett Savage of Dead Sea Apes, which will be available over the weekend as well as HRH Psych merchandise.

Speaking on the debut of HRH Psychic, President and CEO of Ripple Music, Todd Severin, said: “One thing that makes the whole underground scene so special is the sense of community that knows no national boundaries.

The line-up for the first HRH Psych also includes Dead Sea Apes, Helicon, Psychic Lemon, Sendelica, Sonic Trip Project, Thee Telepaths, Red Spektor, Deepshade, DoctoR DooM, Fire Down Below, Gryflet, Psychlona, Madmess, Master Charger, Woven Man, Stew, Amon Acid, Black Tempest, Estuary Blacks, Halo Noose, Infinity Forms Of Yellow Remember, Mue, Road Trip, Stingray Fever, Tom Slatter, Strangelove, Tape Noise, The Ornots and The Telephones.

More acts are also expected to be added.
