Whyte Horses

Mancunian dream pop collective Whyte Horses have released details of their new long player and a rare live date, Getintothis’ Steven Doherty has the info.

Mystical psych-pop merchants Whyte Horses have announced details of their upcoming third studio album.

Hard Times is to be released on January 17 next year, and sees them collaborating with a veritable who’s who of music.

They have also released the latest taster in the form of their new single, also entitled Hard Times, which features John Grant on guest vocals.

Grant described the experience as “Loved working with Whyte Horses on this. Spam and Oreos are right up my alley.”

The album has been described by Whyte Horses creator Dom Thomas as “a fantasy mix-tape” and explained the process of making it alongside the other six current members.

We don’t go into the studio until the very last moment.

We all do the demo stuff at home because that’s the way we like to work: everything is pretty much arranged in my head and then I go into the studio and we intensively get them down in quite a short amount of time.

Once in the studio, that’s where things come to life.”
