Itching at Static Gallery

0

Fast-becoming one of the cultural hubs of the North, Static Gallery is alive with uber-happenings during the course of September.

Regular readers of Getintothis will know we rarely do the plugging thing – if you’re on it, you don’t need me to chirp about it – but this is an exception.
Static Gallery emerged as a place to keep an eye on during the inaugural Sound City in 2008.
Positioned on Roscoe Lane, it’s a venue with phenomenal potential – picture a cosy two-floored work space for artists and a nifty cafe hub, and a further hefty basement for exhibitions and live performances – and you’ve the basis for a seriously wonga space.
And space is all when it comes to hosting.
Luckily, in the shape of head honcho Paul Sullivan, you’ve a cat that knows what’s missing from a City already alive with Culture. So far, you’ve quite probably missed Spectrum, Wild Swans, John Foxx, Wave Machines, Mi Ami and a whole host of others.
But fear not, for this really is the start of what’s shaping up to be a busy ol’ time at Static, so without further ado, here’s a list of the good shit about to unfold at one of Getintothis’ most favourite of spaces…
