Life is swell at Liverpool Sound City. So swell they’ve moved home. Getintothis was invited for a snoop around. Plus drinks and nibbles.

We’ve said it a few times, but it’s worth reiterating, Liverpool Sound City 2011 was the best yet.
And to celebrate the success – and indeed their recent move to new premises down Jordan Street – the team held a wee gathering earlier this week which then got a little bit more messy down the Shipping Forecast.
It’s a sign that everything’s moving in the right direction when there’s numerous exciting plans in the pipeline.
More of which will be revealed over the coming months. But with two more Sound City’s planned around the globe, in addition to Liverpool and Norway’s Tromsø convention, it’s safe to say 2012 will be very busy for festival director Dave Pichilingi and his team.
Back to Jordan Street, and these pictures show off the new gaff, where all the deals are set to go down.

Meanwhile, away from Sound City we stumbled across Spanish band Ligula who were providing some super-rad summer vibes ala Rilo Kiley meets Black Lips on Church Street. Apparently the Madrid six-piece were headed to Heebie Jeebies on Thursday evening. You can listen to em here.

This dude had impressive facial style.
And talking of style, on the new tunes front, y’all should be listening to this new cut called Otis from Jay-Z and Kanye. It’s rather fine indeed.
