Domino Records‘ Matthew E White has released one of the stand out records of 2013 – and now Liverpool music fans can smother themselves in the rich, aural hug of Big Inner later this summer.
Fusing Bayou swamp-rock with gospel-imbued mini space odysseys, Virginia Beach-raised, White has proved a surprise break out with his slow-burning debut.
Tracks like Will You Love Me, Big Love and the hymnal brass-swing epic of Brazos will no doubt sound colossal when he brings his Spacebomb House Band to the candle-lit snugness of Leaf on Bold Street on Monday July 1.
