Veteran ambient producer Tim Hecker is set to bring his acclaimed live set to Camp and Furnace next month, Getintothis’ Patrick Clarke has the details.

After whetting critical whistles across the globe on record, Montreal electro-smith Tim Hecker has revealed a Camp & Furnace slot on November 19 as part of a forthcoming European tour.

The producer is no stranger to Liverpool, his late-night appearance at Sound City 2012 declared  a “mindblowing set of compositional electronica” by Getintothis’ Will Fitzpatrick.

Hecker rules, frankly. Come back soon,” concludes that review, and the upcoming date  is sure to send those festival veterans salivating with wishes fulfilled.

The ambient artist released his latest  album Virgins last year, his seventh LP under his own name, and garnered rave reviews across the board, including spots on the 2013  highlights list of By The Sea‘s Daniel O’Connell and promoters Samidzat, writing for Getintothis‘ end of year Guestlist Selections.

The record joins quite the discography, with near-constant acclaim having rained for the artist since his early days as Setone, with Hecker never failing to affirm his mind-blowing sonic credentials.

This upcoming date is, given Hecker‘s considerable reputation, set to be an extraordinary one. A chance to catch one of the world’s most celebrated electronic artists at the peak of his breathtaking powers.
