Listen to SPQR’s new single PLINK exclusively here as Getintothis’ Vicky Pea sells her soul to the Liverpool threesome.

Sexy Liverpool trio SPQR have unleashed their second single PLINK unto the world ahead of its official May 20 release date by exclusively premiering the track with us here at Getintothis.

Their first record since signing with the city’s Elevant Music Ltd label, it’s guaranteed to get your hips seductively swaying and mind journeying to darker corners.

Recorded at Canvas Sound and mastered by Pete Maher (Jack White/Patti Smith/The Scissor Sisters) the tune is a slinky, sinister four minute groove that invokes freaky images of cult B movies, hypnotising listeners into an inescapably mischievous mindset.

As for the story behind the haunting lyrics “PLINK deals with the mental anguish of rejecting someone’s help for the sake of protecting them from becoming embroiled in your web, and the consequences when they delve deeper, becoming shocked and frightened.”

It’s weird, it’s wonderful and if you’re yet to have Peter, Nick and Bex possess you in person, well you really are in for a treat the first time they do. You can try to stop it, but in the case of SPQR, resistance really is futile.

In support of their latest release the band will be popping up across the North West with following live dates already confirmed;

May 20 – Maguires Pizza Bar, Liverpool

May 29 – Alexanders, Loud and Local Festival, Chester

June 17 – St.Werburgh Centre, Chester

July 9 – Liverpool Calling Festival, Camp and Furnace, Liverpool
