Live at Leeds announce next year’s lineup including Sundara Karma and Tom Grennan, Luna launches new single and a new tune from This Life, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley with the week in music news.
Pitched as the unrivaled home of new music discovery in 2019, Live at Leeds have announced a lineup led by Sundara Karma, Metronomy and Tom Grennan.
Part of Leeds International Festival, the festival will take place next year on Saturday, May 4.
Black Honey, Dream Wife and Goat Girl also feature in the first release of names for next year.
The all day, inner city festival boasts a wealth of new talent on its lineup, too, Liverpool’s Zuzu and The Mysterines are among the likes of The Dunts and Marsicans for the 2019 billing.
Halfway through their tour, Indoor Pets‘ tour van was broken into in Manchester earlier this week.
It has left the band without the majority of their equipment and irreplaceable personal possessions.

The band thanked fans on social media for helping begin the search for the gear, and they are asking for donations to buy new equipment in exchange for a tea towel that reads: “I helped Indoor Pets buy their gear back, Indoor Pets helped me dry this soapy stack”
They place Arts Club on April 10 next year, and release their debut album, Be Content, on March 8.
Back in gigs, LUNA will launch her new single 5AM in a special date at 24 Kitchen Street on Tuesday, November 27.
As one of Liverpool International Music Festival‘s Top 3 ‘Most Ready’ Artists for 2018/19, she pairs her classic vocal style with sample-infused production to create a captivating performance.
She’ll be supported on the all female bill by Stealing Sheep and RnB songstress Remee.

Slaves will follow up their O2 Academy gig on Friday, November 16 with a DJ set at Jacaranda Records: Phase One.

Chester outfit Peaness and Shards and will open up for the GIT Award One To Watch winner.
The latter band’s single Reflections featured in Getintothis’ top Merseyside tracks of 2018.
London, UK-based alternative rock newcomers This Life have revealed the video for their debut single Hello Youth.
The track is about a central meeting place, and is directed by Nick Suchat, you can watch the video below.
