The Holydrug Couple are set bring their Chilean psych rock to Liverpool’s Phase One and Getintothis‘ Susie Harrison has the scoop.
The Holydrug Couple are a psych-rock duo with an untraditional psych-rock aesthetic.
With eleven years long-service and just three albums under their belts, the band walk their own path – with the friendship of Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra at the heart of their musical agenda.
Following in the footsteps of bands such as psych rock powerhouses Tame Impala, The Holydrug Couple will bring our Liverpool summer to a close with their infectious rhythms and mesmeric lyrics later this year.
From the escapist nature of their 2013 full debut album Noctuary to the other-worldly Moonlust two years later, to the third instalment of the band’s collection Hyper Mega Super in 2018, the Santiago natives continue to intoxicate fans with their longstanding psychedelic artistic vision.
With The Holydrug Couple’s return to Europe fast approaching, perhaps we will be hypnotised by another chapter very soon.
