California DIY soloist Jay Som will come to Liverpool next year as part of her UK tour.
The bedroom pop artist released her fourth album, Anak Ko in August this year, entereting the US ‘Heatseekers’ new music chart at number two.
Her Liverpool date will be the penultimate of 10 UK and Irish gigs in March next year, making up part of a European tour after finishing off 2019 with numerous US dates.
She’ll come to Leaf on Bold Street on March 28 2020.
Elsewhere in gigs this week, Matt Maltese will bring his new album Krystal to Liverpool next month for a special in store performance.
Maltese, signed to Domino Records will play Phase One on Thursday 14 November, and support comes from Astles.
A brand new event, 15 Minutes With will take place in the inimate setting of Kazimier Stockroom next week to celebrate experimentation, play and the beauty of the short-form.
This event, on Wednesday 6 November, corresponds with the visit of Russian artist Aneliya Antandilova (otherwise known as CHKBNS), selected by British Council to be an artist in residence at Liverpool culture hub, Metal.
She has been exploring the city’s culture, art and histories and will be developing a sacred musical composition centred around Liverpool’s sonic landscape.
Aneliya will be supported by new work from Liverpool artists George Maund, Daniel Thorne (Erased Tapes) as well as some special guests.
Finally in news, it was an emphatic return to touring life for Louis Berry last week following the announcement of his gig at Jimmy’s Liverpool.
Berry reported sold out the initmate venue within one minute of tickets going on sale for the gig on Tuesday, November 19.
He’ll also play shows in Edinburgh, Leeds and at London’s Moth Club as part of the mini-tour
Pulled Apart By Horses have this week released a new track, Is This Thing On?, following their gig at Phase One as part of their recent headline tour.
The single comes as part of Transgressive Records‘s 15 year anniversary in 2019, and is the official anthem of the celebration.
