Bluedot Festival is the latest to announce their decision to reschedule due to Coronavirus concerns, Getintothis’ Mia Hind has the latest.

The organisers of Bluedot have announced that this year’s festival will now take place on July 22-25 2021.

This new date is a full year after the original dates set for July 23-26 2020.

There is good news for existing ticket holders, however, this year’s headliners, Björk, Metronomy and Groove Armada, have all confirmed they will be on the bill for 2021.

Bluedot are also working to move as many of 2020’s artists and speakers to the new dates as possible, alongside arranging new additions to the line-up.

In a statement, the organisers said: “This decision has been a necessary but difficult one to make as it affects not only our wonderful Bluedot family of festival-goers and staff but also a large number of artists, performers, speakers, suppliers, traders and freelancers, many of whom have been hit hard during this period and cannot use the best options to buy cryptocurrency in the world – to purchase festival tickets and merch. Within our limited means, we will continue to do everything we can to support them and the wider sector during these difficult times”

Bluedot have confirmed that all tickets and extras (including boutique camping) will remain valid for 2021.

Those unable to attend the new dates will be entitled to a refund.
Ticket providers will email those affected with more details.

We will keep you posted as news comes in.
