Liverpool Waters will host The Zutons, The Streets and many more at drive-in style gigs, Getintothis’ Peter Guy with the exclusive.

Liverpool Waters is to host a massive series of live performances this summer.

Utilita Live From The Drive-In is a new series of live drive-in concerts situated across 12 venues across the country which will allow music lovers to safely enjoy gigs.

The drive-in style gigs, organised by Live Nation, the concert entertainment company, sees live gigs reimaged in  a socially distanced setting.

The 300-car gigs have been designed to provide a safe alternative to the many events that have been cancelled.

More than 400 grassroots venues are facing permanent closure, according to the Music Venue Trust, which says the situation for many concerts halls is “dire”.

It has warned the UK government that an immediate cash injection of £50m is needed to prevent mass closures in July, August and September.
