Summercamp, a festival of music, art, food & more comes to Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle August bank holiday weekend 2013 as part of the Liverpool International Music Festival.

Mount Kimbie, Martha Wainwright and Ghostpoet will feature as part of the inaugural Summercamp during the August bank holiday weekend.
Set within Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, Summercamp is a small festival boasting more than 20 live music acts plus art courtesy of Liverpool Biennial and a food festival curated by Sunday Brunch‘s Simon Rimmer.
Also among the names announced to play are folk trio The Staves and US psych outfit Merchandise.
Outdoor and indoor stages around Camp and Furnace are supported by special food fairs hosted by Rimmer plus Great British Menu finalist Glynn Purnell.
Liverpool Biennial lend their art expertise via The Experimental Music School, a family-friendly programme taking the form of workshops, games and performances.
The first artist to be revealed is the Dutch luthier and musician Yuri Landman whose workshop will involve building bespoke instruments, the results of which will be used in a special performance by former GIT Award nominees Ex-Easter Island Head.
Summercamp director Miles Falkingham said: ‘We are thrilled to be bringing an event encompassing such a breadth of art and entertainment to the Baltic Triangle. We’re hoping to make the August bank holiday a weekend to remember.
