Picture this! A host of Liverpool music talent paid tribute to Blondie, in the latest 10 Bands 10 Minutes, Getintothis’ Andrew Ab stopped hanging on the telephone and grabbed his camera.
Proving that good music is unequivocally timeless, a plethora of Liverpool groups came together to pay tribute to New York new wavers Blondie.
Coming to prominence on the back of the grimy-but-cool CBGBs scene in their home city, Blondie blended the gritty punk ethos of their contemporaries with an ice-cold yet poppy front.
Add Debbie Harry as vocalist (surely the most beautiful band leader of all time?) and it was a guaranteed recipe for success.
Natalie McCool, Silent Sleep and Salem Rages were just some of the artists keen to offer their own take on some classic tunes.
Getintothis’ Andrew Ab was present and correct to bring you these photos. You’d need a real heart of glass to not realise what a great night it was.
