Forest Swords drops Thor’s Stone video the first single to be taken from Engravings plus raft of tour dates.

Wirral electronic pioneer Forest Swords has unveiled Thor’s Stone video, the first single to be taken from superlative album Engravings.
The video, directed by Dave Ma, who has previously worked with Foals and The Horrors, centres on elements of control and the loss.
Filmed overnight in the industrial outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, the promo stars Madrid dancer Guzman Rosado. “I made him dance repeatedly for about eight hours through the night,” Ma told Nowness. “There was no one for miles around, just Forest Swords echoing out of a boom box.
The video marks a departure from the home-made found footage which Swords, aka Matthew Barnes, talked about in details at the Getintothis event Inner Visions at FACT earlier this year.
I’m a perfectionist,” Barnes added. “I spend a long time working on one sound or texture to make sure it’s exactly how I want it. It’s like tweaking a key in a door, and then suddenly it unlocks.”
Forest Swords has also announced a slew of tour dates to accompany this good news, all of which can be found here.
