Iconic record label Heavenly Recordings is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a showcase all-day party at the Kazimier and Kazimier Gardens on July 5, hosted by Harvest Sun Promotions.

The event will see performances from an array of the label’s roster including Brighton noise-makers The Wytches, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, the Voyeurs, Kid Wave, Duke Garwood, Gwenno and Liverpool’s own GIT Award 2015 nominees Hooton Tennis Clubplus a special guest performance by Stealing Sheep. Alongside the live music there will be DJ sets by the Heavenly Jukebox and Bernie Connor.

Heavenly Recordings, which was founded independently by GIT Award judge Jeff Barrett in 1990, has become one of the most respected independent labels in the country, and has housed artists such as Manic Street Preachers, Saint Etienne, Beth Orton and Doves.

The label is now also home to acts such as TOY, Temples and Merseysiders Stealing Sheep, who celebrated the release of their second LP on the label Not Real, with a surprise party at Vessel Studios alongside Dutch Uncles, James Canty and DJ sets from Heavenly’s Danny Mitchell.

The Heavenly 25 event at the Kazimier is the latest in a long line of celebrations for the label in 2015, having hosted the Heavenly Weekender at the Hebden Bridge Trades Club in January, and with similar showcases set for this summer’s Glastonbury festival and Festival No. 6.

Tickets are priced at £17.50 and are available now. The event begins on midday July 5.
