King Khan brings his new combo back to Liverpool this Autumn, Getintothis’ Steven Doherty has all of the info so far.
It’s been five short years since he was awarded the very prestigious Gig Of The Year award on these very pages for his assault on Korova and was last seen here destroying the Getintothis’ Sound City afterparty in 2018.
Now the undoubted majesty of King Khan is back.
He fronts Louder Than Death alongside his old band’s The Shrines bassist Fredovitch, and is joined in the line-up on this tour by Sean Wood from seminal US punks The Spits.
Their album Stop Und Fick Dich was out last month, and to celebrate this, they are making a long-awaited return to these shores with a rare date at the Zanzibar on Friday September 13.
This will be some event, the man’s stage presence simply has to be seen to be believed, and this is going to be an unhinged, frenetic sweatfest.
