The 1975 at Liverpool University

Wake up, wake up, wake up, The 1975 announce UK tour and details of their fourth album and Getintothis’ Lucy McLachlan, resident 1975 stan has the gossip.

The 1975 have announced a huge UK arena tour for February & March 2020 with a stop at the Liverpool M&S Bank Arena.

The tour will be the first to showcase the band’s upcoming fourth album Notes On A Conditional Form to be released on February 21 2020 and will be the first time The 1975 have played in Liverpool since 2015.

Despite only releasing third album A Brief Inquiry To Online Relationships just last year the band are still producing new music with People and the self titled track The 1975 featuring 16 year old climate change activist Greta Thunberg already online.

In praise of matinee shows and why there should be more of them

Plus carrying on flying the flag for fighting climate change, The 1975 and Dirty Hit are looking to plant a tree for every ticket sold and are using recycled plastic and soft cases for the distribution of their CDs and cassette tapes.

With their 2019 UK tour selling out and BRIT award wins this year for Best British Group and Best British Album for A Brief Inquiry To Online Relationships, plus a Mercury Music Prize nomination for their third album, it’s looking like the 2020 set of dates will also be in demand.

Tickets go on general sale Friday, 20 September at 9am.
