Bask in the darkness of a dimly-lit shed with no heating being battered by unremitting noise and the taste of crisp cold lager. Hmmm, this is exactly what you need to do.

Romance is alive – and it’s happening at Liverpool’s Stockroom – a wondrous wooden cavern situated in the Kazimier Garden on Seel Street.
And on Friday February 14 (the Feast of Saint Valentine) we’re serving up a double-headed sensual session of pleasure for the soul.
Fucked Up are a band with a long back story in Liverpool – they’ve thrilled at the Kazimier, made a mess down the docklands for Sound City and also blitzed the proverbial shit out of EBGBs.
And now we can welcome back two of their band members: guitarist Mike Haliechuk and drummer Jonah Falco, who together with Tamsin Leach (of Es) and Jack Goldstein (Fixers) are Jade Hairpins.
A fusion of taut death disco and industrial grooves – imagine David Byrne, James Murphy and (defo) Peter Hook jamming long into the night and you’re not far away.

They’re signed to Merge, and together with London mates Nation Unrest (dissonant propulsive industrial techno) will be gracing our city with their debut live shows.
