Gurgling rhythmic nuggets with one eye on the Kompakt cannon, they’re infectious and underscored with a modicum of malevolence.
Asok is the moniker of Liverpool independent label boss Stu Robinson, who together with Julian Shepherd and Mike Carney (another of our electronic tips, Bantom Lions) runs Scenery Records.
Scenery say, ‘Our ethos is simple – we release music we like from people we like. The label is always looking for new music and new producers. It doesn’t matter if you have anything released on any other label – it only matters that your music is made for the right reasons, and has the right vibe.‘
