Liverpool Sound City is a month away, for the sixth consecutive year Getintothis is proud to present our stage at the three day music festival.
Liverpool Sound City 2014 and the mania that accompanies it is just four weeks away.
We’ve been given a sneak peak at the complete bill – all the venues (there’s a raft of new ones), the boutique showcases, the panels (John Cale and Thurston Moore just two of the stellar names), Screenadelica and much more besides – and it’s fair to say our ears are throbbing with expectation.
Following in the footsteps of Outfit, Stealing Sheep, Clinic, All We Are and a raft of international talent, Getintothis has been invited to host a stage once again this year.
And we’re delighted to announce, Mercury Prize nominated Jon Hopkins will headline the bill at Nation on Saturday May 3.
Signed to Domino Records, a label which has long supported Merseyside talent including the likes of Bill Ryder-Jones, By The Sea and more recently The Catchers, we’re flipping chuffed to bits to host Hopkins and look forward to hearing his expansive sound including tracks taken from one of our favourite records of 2013, Immunity.
Support on the night includes some of Merseyside’s finest; GIT Award nominees Ex-Easter Island Head and Ninetails will feature alongside Dogshow and good friend Stevie Law DJ-ing into the early hours.
Opening up the bill are glitch-poppers Erotic Market and Glasgow synth wavers Prides.
Full details below, it’s going to be a belter.
