If like me, you have become fatigued by the current state of the charts, fear not, for I have a solution to aid you in your escape.
Go and see some new music, experiment with some fresh sounds. There’s plenty of them. As this gig guide will hopefully prove, we all don’t have to follow the same beat.
There is a plethora of musical surprises here, just waiting to give your music collection the boot up the arse it needs. If you don’t believe us, just have a look at this lot and pick out something boss from this week’s gigs. You can thank us later.
Ten Fé
Ten Fé: Buyers Club, March 15
Whispers are stirring about London duo, with plenty of folks firmly keeping an eye on the pair as they continue their upward trajectory.
With their debut long player out last month, they will hit the Buyers Club with all their might this week, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Steve Pilgrim
Steve Pilgrim: Leaf, March 16
The euphoric sounds of Steve Pilgrim make a much welcomed return to his hometown this week, as he heads to Leaf to showcase his new longplayer, Morning Skies.
Having worked with the Modfather himself on his latest work, this will be a chance to see why the talented songwriter is held in such high esteem by his peers.
Blossoms
Blossoms: Liverpool Olympia, March 17
Arguably the biggest band in the country right now, Blossoms make a triumphant return to our city to play their biggest show to date.
Having released one of the biggest albums of last year, they are not about to slow down any time soon. With Cabbage and Rory Wynne also on the bill, this has been a sellout for months.

Hoping to build her own Fortress at 24 Kitchen Street this week, Natalie McCool returns home as part of her latest UK tour.
With praise a plenty for her latest album, this date should be a full house if her last tour is anything to go by. We suggest you head down early to this!
All Time Low
All Time Low: Mountford Hall, March 18
Having not been round these ways for five years, it’s only fitting that rockers All Time Low play a whopper of a date this week.
With the Baltimore pop punk outfit more than capable of selling out arena-size venues, this will almost certainly be a full house.

Bolshy: Meraki, March 18
If inspiration is what you need, then look no further then ska punk monsters Bolshy. Having busked the streets no built up their staunch following, they are now set to celebrate the release of their debut album.
Their party in Meraki will see them joined by Atterkop, Mothcob, The Mighty Bossmags, Tout Suite, The Lab Rats, A Lovely War not to mention Paper Wings, One Eyed God, Box Martian and much more, this is going to be one hell of a party.
