Philadelphia guitar slingers postpone November show due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.

War On Drugs have been forced to postpone their Liverpool date on Tuesday November 4 at the O2 Academy until Monday February 16 2015.

The hotly-anticipated gig was to form part of a unique collaboration between two of Liverpool’s independent promoting teams – Harvest Sun and Liverpool Music Week – but will now be pushed back until the new year.

Harvest Sun previously brought the band to the Kazimier in February 2012 when the band were on the cusp of breaking through into the big league.

Two years on, the band who’ve married shimmering krautrock to sweet Americana drive-by melodica on their Secretely Canadian released third LP, Lost in the Dream, are now set for a Pyramid Stage billing at Glastonbury as well as a raft of high profile UK shows.

Liverpool Music Week 2014 – the tenth edition of the city-wide festival – starts on Thursday when Caribou plays Camp & Furnace.

Original tickets are still valid. Refunds available at point of purchase.
