Merki set to deliver African-infused collaboration in Liverpool as part of seven-date UK tour, Getintothis’ Philip Thompson reports.

Merseyside hip hop lyric slinger and producer Merki swings into Liverpool for the next leg of his collaborative tour tomorrow (April 27) at East Village Arts Club.
Teaming up with the Ghanaian seven-piece Sa Mon Di, their African roots and dynamic front man Kofi Dako, provide the back beat to Merki‘s soulful jazz take on contemporary rap.
Backed by the Arts Council of England, Merki‘s seven date UK tour follows on from his spot on the Getintothis/Bido Lito! Stage at last summer’s Liverpool International Music Festival last summer at Sefton Park.
So if you fancy some hip hop with a modern West African twist, head down to East Village for the next leg of the Global Fusion tour. Tickets £8.
